The deal has been signed and Armie Hamme will play The Lone Ranger to Johnny Depp's Tonto with Gore Verbinski directing. Production will start after Depp completes Dark Shadows.
I'm torn on this one. I loved The Lone Ranger growing up, but I'm not sure
about how today's Hollywood might treat the character. Will Silver be CGI? Will everything be done in front of a green screen? You get the picture. I guess all I can do at this point is wait and see.
