First Look at Season 5 of True Blood

Summer is still months away, but it seems it's never too early for a good taste of True Blood. Season 4 was far from my favorite (so much wasted potential), but I'm hoping Season 5 gets the ball rolling back to where it belongs. Until then check out the goods below.

The Pact Picked Up By IFC From Sundance

IFC Midnight beat out Anchor Bay Entertainment for North American rights to
Nicholas McCarthy's The Pact. The horror flick is IFC's second pick up from the Sundance Festival
and the deal is reported by The Hollywood Reporter to be in the six-figures.

Caity Lotz and Casper Van Dien star in the film which tells the story of a woman struggling with her past
after her mother dies and she begins to feel a presence in her old childhood home.

You can't always trust imdb.com ratings, but the 10 users who have rated
this flick there so far have given it an average score of 10 out of 10.
10 out of 10...I have to call bullshit on that, but I do hope it turns out to be a
good flick!

Clip and still from Indie Flick Chill

This looks to be a hell of a flick. It's set to hit the festivals before DVD, so if it plays in your area catch it! I'm cursed at the moment to an area where I don't often get the opportunity to see festivals. Guess I'm waiting for DVD

Synopsis

November 17, 1990, is a day of mourning for some...and for others, a lucrative opportunity. On that date, eight university students were found murdered in the old arts building at the college. An anonymous source told police the 20-somethings were in the midst of a local role-playing game, called Chill.

The name of the game is to stay alive. But for the players that November evening, few would be getting up for another round. When a scheming student decides to profit from the tragedy and revive the whodunit game as a web series, the new players soon discover, for some, this game is still all too real.

Trailer for Beneath the Darkness

Fuck you if you don't like it, but I'm a fan of Dennis Quaid. Every since I saw Dreamscape in the theater (yes I'm THAT old) I've wondered why he never made the top of the A List. He's a very good actor and has screne presence...But WTF do I know? Well...I know that he's back in a serial killer flick titled Beneath the Darkness. Check out the info and trailer below!

Synopsis:

In Beneath the Darkness, Ely Vaughn (Quaid) is a pillar of the community in tiny Smithville, Texas. The town’s mortician, Ely has been revered since his days as the high school’s star quarterback. But since the tragic death of his wife two years earlier, Ely has withdrawn from his neighbors, while local teens spread stories of supernatural goings on at Ely’s mansion—which is also the funeral home. When high school friends Travis (Oller), Abby (Teegarden), Brian (Lunsford) and Danny (Werkheiser) decide to check out the rumors, they are shocked to see the supposedly grieving widower dancing with a mysterious woman behind the curtains of his bedroom window. Their curiosity aroused, the four teens wait for Ely to leave the house before breaking in to investigate. But instead of finding clues to the woman’s identity, they stumble on a grotesque, long-hidden secret. The sadistic mortician next door will now stop at nothing to literally bury his past.
