The Dark Tower adaptation appears to be staying with Universal for now.
The huge project was estimated to be more than could be chewed however,
Ron Howard and crew are in the process of brining the budget back down
to Earth. It's also rumor that Akiva Goldsman is in the process of re-writing the script to fit with the new budget. No word on how the new budgeting may effect the status of Javier Bardem as Roland.
