Wolf Creek 2 One-Sheet
Personally I hated the ad campaign for the original Wolf Creek. The whole “Based On Actual Events” when it was very, very, very loosely based on an actual case pissed me off. In real life the only thing it had to do with “actual events” is that there was a serial killer in Australia who preyed on backpackers. To me it would be like me making a film “based on actual events” where I wake up in the morning, save the world from aliens, then go back to sleep. It would be based on actual events, because on the day in question I really did get up in the morning and then go back to bed that night. Ok…I’m off of my soap box!
People seem to really like this flick , so here’s a plot synopsis (hat tip to killerfilm) and the new one sheet.
“Lured by the promise of an authentic Australian holiday, backpackers RUTGER, KATARINA and PAUL visit the notorious Wolf Creek crater. Their dream Outback adventure soon becomes a horrific reality when they encounter the site’s most infamous local, the last man any traveler to the vast and isolated region ever wants to meet; MICK TAYLOR (John Jarratt).
As the backpackers flee, Mick pursues them on an epic, white knuckled rampage across hostile wasteland. Only one will remain to be dragged back to his lair to witness the true magnitude of his monstrosity. And if the last man standing is to have any hope of surviving where no one has survived before, he’ll have to use every ounce of cunning to outwit the man behind the monster, and become every bit as ruthless as the monster inside the man.”
