The Avengers gets a title change and a villain
Disney’s recent press release has two things you may want to know. The title is no longer The Avengers, its Marvel’s The Avengers, cuz we didn’t know that.
Also, read this: The cast will be joined by Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother: Season One ) as Agent Maria Hill of SHIELD, Tom Hiddleston (Wallander) and Stellan Skarsgård (Angels & Demons [Blu-ray] ) who will both reprise their respective roles as Loki and Professor Erik Selvig from the upcoming Marvel Studios’ feature Thor.
This confirms the long-standing rumor that Loki will be in the film (here). We’ll have to wait and see which other villains may rear their ugly heads, but that’s a good start! Here’s a brief synopsis of the film: “When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.”
