Chris Hemsworth To Star In Sony Pictures Shadow Runner

Get Ripped in 90 Days

Chris Hemsworth is set to star in Sony Pictures' Shadow Runner. The plot is being kept under wraps but is said to be based on an original idea from Drive screenwriter Hossein Amini.

The idea is reported to be based on an incident involving an Israeli hit team which tracked an Hamas leader and took him out in a five star hotel. The film will see Hemsworth leading a similar team of elite soldiers who take on impossible missions....Sounds familiar, but could still be cool if done right.

Holiday BlockBusters at AllPoster!

This new indie slasher has just finished shooting and is in post production now. Check out the synopsis below

Synopsis

Laurie and Hugh, a successful young couple who have just closed on a weekend home away from the city. Unbeknownst to them, the neighboring property contains the crumbling remains of boarding school that was shuttered in the wake of an unspeakable massacre. The sole survivor of that massacre still resides in the ruins of the school, hiding from the world and wanting only to be left alone. When Laurie and Hugh’s friends explore the property, they have no idea that they disturbed an emotionally-broken killing machine: The Blood Widow.

In the press release, co-writer and producer Chad Coup says this: “I can say with complete confidence that we made this movie for horror fans that want an old-school ride. We don’t want our audience to be bored for one second, and we’re going to make sure this delivers what horror fans want.”

Holiday BlockBusters at AllPoster!

Warner Bros. latest on-sheet for the August 12, 2011 release of Final Destination 5 looks better than I expect the movie to be. I could be wrong, but after the entries marked 2-The I don't doubt myself much.

But these unsuspecting souls were never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.

Sneak Peek AT New Indie Horror Abhorrence

From the video and art this one looks to be good. Check out everything below.

"Abhorrence is a campy horror film that takes place on Halloween in the 80's," says producer Cristian Guzman. "The story is based around three characters, Megan, Chris, and Kyle. The film starts off as a beautifully vintage piece horror film that is extremely suspenseful; it will leave you holding on to the person next to you, but in the second act of the film, hell arises after the characters play with a Ouija board. Nothing was supposed to happen. Everything from here takes a turn for a conclusion filled with suspense."

Guzman continues, "The film then turns into what is supposed to be 'real life events'. The director and cinematographer are then revealed, including the set. From there the cinematographer is running around the cabin looking for the crew but finds nothing but dead bodies and a presence of a demonic spirit. He panics and ends up lost in the woods. What will happen to the director of photography? What will happen to the production?"

Synopsis

A group of young determined filmmakers, willing to go too far to get the best reactions from their actors, venture down a self-realized path to greatness. As they get to their final shoot location, the cast and crew become terrified; the two filmmakers realize something has gone horribly wrong and they've lost control of their own set... or have they?
